The Presences of Greatness

None
It's been a slow long weekend, I will have every second Friday of so I have to do something to kill those of, next time I'll see if I can do some background check and perhaps head into Vancouver or perhaps be so daring as to go south into Seattle to visit some folks I know. Next week there is some kind of festival here in Gibsons so I think I'll see what there is to see here.
Then there is Canada Day so I'll see if I can go undercover as a Canadian and get drunk with the rest of the bunch, will prove interesting.

This Weekend have been slow, have spent it mostly curing my badly scorched, shoulders tomorrow will be another work day and it will hurt like hell. I've also read a lot and I do feel like I have to admit I've been reading nerd stuff. I've been reading random star trek stories out of a book I bought. I've also read this book called "My Horizontal Life" By Chelsea Handler. A really funny book, the best thing about one night stands with midgets is that when you are done they are great pillows, Hilarious.

It saddens me to say that I missed this years Midsummerseve party and all I did was have a beer. I miss the fun I used to have with Eternal Light on midsummerseve but guess you can't have everything. Maybe next year, we'll see.

Oh and Finally my friend from way back rhapsody has decided to show up and join my readers, please continue to read and comment you always had a way to make me smile.

Have a good Week everyone

The Name of Paradise

None
My last days in Vancouver are over for this time, I have now relocated north to Gibsons. I spend the last day there doing not much me and J and N decided to walk back to Stanley Park to see some of the sights not right along the shoreline of that peninsula. It was an interesting trip since N was with us this time, he is really good at talking so there is seldom a bored moment. We even managed to find the lost lagoon, now as N put it, "How do you lose a lagoon?"

On Friday I had a bus to catch and then I had a ferry to get on, there was a really interesting view there in Horseshoe bay and it only promised more to come.

So I found it. Now you are all asking what did I find? Well I found the name of Paradise, and I live right there. The name is Sunshine Coast. I live in the small town Gibson here on the Sunshine Coast. With a name such as that it has alot to live up to. But so far I am not disappointed the views here are amazing, they are truly marvelous. Yesterday I was out exploring, the weather was so, so at best so I just explored the town not doing anything special.

Today the weather was much better, it was sunny the wind was just right, it was fathers day and the last day of the local jazz festival, so I went out dressed in a short sleeved shirt and shorts. I stayed at the festival stationary at the same spot for about 3 hours and of course I have to pay the price. I am red like a tomato or perhaps a strawberry on my arms and on my right leg. I will have an interesting night tonight. It'll be like sleeping on needles and tomorrow is the first day I really need to get up early since it's my first day of work.

Drunk in Vancouver

None
Now there have been a few days since I updated the last time and I can only promise you carnage. These last few days have been unbelievable.

On Monday we had a meeting with the company and got our SIN. Then we had like the entire day free, we watched the famous steam clock in Gastown Vancouver. After that we strolled into Chinatown and it started raining so we decided to dodge into the closest attraction under a roof, witch turned out to be the art museum 4 miles away, I don't think I need to explained how soaked I was, it was really bad, now bad gets to worse as the items on view in the museum was a lot of manga and anime, I'm ashamed that I can actually tell the difference between them.

In the Evening it was pub-crawl with the hostel with free cover, it was really cool, I meet a few new friends from the hostel, among them N and D who are really cool. N is from Toronto and D is from Scotland, I have a few pictures from that night, but the computers here at the hostel don't let me access them.

On Tuesday It was time for me and J to have another meeting with the company and then head down and get ourself some Canadian bank accounts. When that was done we chilled for most of the day and watch the Sweden vs Greece game. In a Canadian bar where we are the only Swedes thats an interesting experience. In the evening the hostel arranged a comedy night at a local pub again it was free cover. Free cover+ Beer= Lots of fun.

Today Wednesday J was out watching whales, I saved my money and went to the BC Place to get a lesson in sports history. In the evening the hostel arranged a wii night and then moved over to another bar witch had some sort of competition. Now this competition was interesting since every time the called out they wanted new people to go up and do different stuff, like N who were asked to sing different song in English he did okay but choked the last time not really winning anything. Then people wanted me to go up, so the second to last time I went up not knowing what the competition would be. It turned out to be easy, all I had to do was kiss a complete stranger for thirty seconds and it was a girl I had to kiss. Well this girl(I think she was from Australia) Comes up and volunteers, and we kiss for thirty seconds. Because we did this we both won an 8 day trip to the Rocky mountains. I have to say this was the best day so far. I get a trip worth $400 for kissing an attractive Australian girl, I just can't complain.

Anyway I'm drunk now that I'm writing this but I'm happy, this is a really good start for me, now I just have to find someone to share this trip with, any volunteers?

I'm leaving for Sunshine coast on Friday so I still have a few things to do but then it's the real adventure, this is just vacation.

Worries B Gone

Hmm I have gotten a hold of a computer, this is a bad sign.

Anyway the trip started out by me finding my travel mate J at Arlanda, she spotted me, I would never have spotted her.

Then things started to go wrong, apparently my 63 liter rucksack was to big to be able to go as hand luggage so suddenly I had 3 bags to check in, not two. That third bag cost me $150. When we arrived in at Newark Liberty Airport I realized I could have used those to by myself a bottle of Johnny Walker Blue. I can't say my mood improved rapidly.

Anyway Prior to arriving at Newark I was asked to fill out a form about a few things, among those there was the question about wheater or not I had been on a farm the last to weeks. I answered yes since I had and got my shoes cleaned by a nice chap in the US Customs. When they were cleaned they were mummified and put into a plastic bag.

In Newark I found out that my cell isn't working over here so that brick is just pure dead weight.

The trip to Houston was uneventful, in Houston the airport personel that is responsible for check in was concerned about people leaving their duty-free gods at the airport. So at one time he shouted out, "Do not forget your duty-free gods, if you do we will eat it, drink it or smoke it for you" I was way to tired cause I had a hard time to stop laughing.

Arriving at Vancouver I discovered that I had had my baggage searched, they had broke open my lock and searched it. Now this is midnight between 7th and 8th and I had been traveling for 24 hours by now. Can't say I was overjoyed.

We managed to get through customs and security and out to the cab by 1-1,30am and I had gotten my visa, I'm allowed a year in Canada.

Yesterday was a day for recreation and rest, we ditched all that and went for a couple of km long walk. I would guess that we passed the 30km mark with ease. Went around Stanley Park witch was 10km. And then onwards to Granville Island, the bridge over Granville Island and Wicked creak got me some perspective, cause for the first 4-5 hours downtown Vancouver where I am staying right now seemed to be everything there is in Vancouver, but upon that bridge it was just no end in sight.

On Granville Island we strolled for a while and saw a street performed who had a funny show, the juggling tricks was mediocre at best but the comedy was pure.

Today there is some meeting and then we'll see what we have to do. I need to find out if there is a bus going to Gibsons.

Quote of yesterday
"I'm sweating like I'm passing through US customs"

Signs Of Insanity

None
I have had 2 major addictions over the last years, EvE-Online and Travian.

You know that you are addicted to a game when you start see abbreviation. Starting with EvE I tend to see the abbrevations RZR, TRE, BCU, HAC so on and so forth on car licens plates, any eve players will recognize all or most of those abbrevations. However when you start seeing s1-s8 and UCK and ABS and so on so forth you know you have played to much Travian.

However what I truley miss about EvE is the adrenaline rushes and some of those really wonderfull persons I met there like Dabora Blade, Lianne Luminix, Niroshido and ofcourse the most important of them all Svikis.
Svikis is without a doubt the coolest miner I have ever met and he is perhaps the most important EvE-player in my entire EvE career.
Dabora Blade who I had to much respect for, I respected his skills in combat based on his talk, when I finally spared with him I ran him over directly. This evolved into a friendship I treasure.
Lianne, now here is a player I taught from the begining and he used it, I dare say he is among the best players I've met.
Niroshido I honestly have to say I didn't like from the begining but he turned out to be the one that I have kept the tightest contact with among my EvE friends, EvE just would never be the same without him.
I miss them all alot, we had the greatest times in EvE ever.

However in Travian I will mostly miss two persons Rosco and Gant. With Rosco it's the late night calls and the brother I found that showed me how to really co-operate with. The joy of defeating enemies with him is for me unsurpassed and I hope to enjoy it once again.
With Gant it's the friend I found in a game where I thought people like her were mercilessly hunted down and farmed to pieces. However I was wrong, she is without a doubt the happiest person I have ever meet and i coun't myself lucky to have gotten to know her. I will miss our chats and the joy she radiated whenever I chatted with her.

I hope this is the end of this chapter but I am afraid that I will return to these time and again.

The plane leaves in less than ten hours so I wish you all a happy time. I have been told that it's 10 degrees C and raining in Vancouver, but I am optimistic it will have blown over when I get there.

Now I wish you a great summer.

Getting Ready

None
Spent most of yesterday chilling in Lund just waiting for the train to depart. Took three and a half hour to get back to home and this time it's more of a pitstop.

Leaving town again in a few hours to visit Fuki in Stockholm and to have somewhere to sleep before take of. For some reason there is not enought trains leaving town in time for me to get on my plane in time. Anyway she threatens to cook something tasty for me so I think I'll survive well enought. Havn't seen her in ages so this will be fun.

I belive my blogg will lose some tempo now that the trip finally starts. I won't bring a computer so I will uppdate when something funny happens and I have a comuter to write it on nearby.

Also those of you who wish to get in touch with me should call or leave an e-mail well in advance. I will try to keep up and answer anyone who wants to know something.

Now I have some friends to visit before getting on that train so c yá when i c yá

Halfway to where?

Spent most of yesterday chilling in at Encrypteds place talking about everything and nothing. Hooked up people to go hang out with in the evening and have a beer with.

Time was set to 8pm, ofcourse since none of my friends know how to use a wrist watch we didn't get there untill 9pm, Encrypteds friends was slightly amused.

By 11-12 we started to think about getting back to Eslöv to have somewhere to sleep. However we somehow managed to confuse traintracks, departuretimes and destinations. So when we were halfway to Helsingborg we decided that it was time to get of. Now where were we?

Tekomatorp, not a very fancy place to end up in the middle of the night. The village is so small that they don't have a stationhouse to go into while waiting for the next train and now it was getting cold.

Well we hitched a ride back to Eslöv in the end. In the end I saw more of Skånes countryside than I ever would ask for. Please spare me.

Stalked By Old Bad Habits

I woke up yesterday thinking that something god like must be hating me. They called me at 9am. Notice that I had then only sleept five hours, I was really tired by then and when I realized they were after my money I can't say my mood improved. Got over with that and went back to bed.

Sleeping another sound 2 hours I was fit for fight and we started out by head to the local mall, twize since we can't keep a short shoping list in our heads. When we were done we realized yet again that we had forget a thing or two. Anybody guessed it yet? Yes I don't like shoping.

Went back to Eternal Lights place where we started preparing the meat  for the barbeque in the evening.

Spent a few hours in town meeting up with Encrypted talking about EvE and Travian. I guess those games will hunt me for eternity.

Had a greate barbeque in the evening, but ofcourse beeing us we forget the sauce. Well wasn't so bad without it.
Decided I would sleep at Encrypteds place tonight, so I wound up in Eslöv.

After watching some half-ass PvP in EvE that Encrypted performed we called it a night.

4-Fun Mafias

Woke up with the early bird at about 11am, immediately realizing that I had forgotten my unopened chocolate bar in the window where the hot morning sun shines into this room. It was fluid so I was denied the pleasure of chocolate yesterday.

We meet up with the travian Mafia yesterday here in Lund. Was surprised that they were so many in this town. I guess the enviorment is travian friendly. However I was disappointed that my co-player from the last 6 months or so was a no-show. Well I guess you can't have everything even on really good days.

We left at about 6pm dodging a parking bot and a bit hungry looking for something to eat. In the end ending up in Eslöv of every place on earth. Watching a good movie and talking about my other old bad habit from a year back, EVE-Online. Yes I was as tempted as ever to go right back in seeking that wonderful adrenaline rush. But I just won't have time.

Today we have very little plans just dodging the great weather. I think I will burn my skin of if I keep up being outdoors more this week.

Stuck in Skåneland

Yesterday we took the car south, starting out at 9am I was hopeful that we would reach Jönköping by 12. We were there at 11, an whole hour earlier than expected. Now we surprised Gandhi and Lovvely who still hadn't jumped onto the bus into Jönköping, they made it just in time for the next one and we all meet at the local bus station. After a quick bite of food we went back to the bucket of bolts and headed over to rosco.

Of course we arrived when he was having lunch so we made sure he had a cold lunch. He avenged that by sending us up to the treetops, literally. Starting by heading up 8-9 meters to walk "the log" and then jump down. It got the adrenaline pumping, great start!

After that we were sent up on the higher section here is a picture right before we got up, while we were still on the ground.

(Left to right: Dragge, Eternal Light, Rosco, Gandhi, Me and Lovvely)

And here is a picture when we were 14 meters above ground. There were some dubs about whether or not the wire would hold, but it did.

(Left to right: Me, Lovvely, Gandhi and Eternal Light)

After the adventures were over there were travian talk and ice cream.

We left there earlier than I had expected and arrived in Lund after 8pm.

Today the on the schedule is another travian get together. This time in Lund and this time I haven't meet a single one of them. Makes for a good cup of coffee.

Quote of the yesterday: We performed a miracle today, The car held all the way.

Going South

Might speed up the updates this week as things begins to happen now. Yestreday Eternal Light arriwed from down south with his car. Always a wonder that thing is still rolling.

Spent the evening catching up on things and hitting the Cinema to see the latest Indiana Jones movie.
Will it suprise you if I say that my expectations were low on that movie?

However expectations is not the real thing and I was suprised to find that the movie was good. Found myself laughting from the first scene and from there it just keept going.

Today we aim to make it all the way down to Lund again, with a long pit stop in Jönköping and Vidablick to to get some perspective on hights. As we meet up with firends we accuired during our Travian adventures.
Yes I have been addicted to Travian, but I'm recovering now.

Rosco, Candyman, Dragge, Gandhi and Lovvely will be there and we will have a great time. When spending time with friends you don't really have to do anyting to enjoy the moment. I just hope I survive the encounter

I will update with pictures when I have the chance to get ahold of a computer again.
